Founding Moments
Our choir began with a small yet passionate group in 1979, united by a love for Korean music and community. Their dedication laid the foundation for decades of cultural celebration.

Sept 9, 1979 – 토론토 한인 연합교회의 발기로 합창단 창단 예배 (founding worship)및 처음 연습(first practice with conductor Dr. Jae Hoon Park, 1979-1999) at Toronto Korean United Church on 353 Sherbourne St. Toronto.
Dec 8, 1979 – 1st Concert at Martin Grove Collegiate Institute.
Jan 10, 1980 – Elected board of directors of The Toronto Korean-Canadian Choir Foundation and elected Mr. Jung (정혁조) as a chair of the board.

Since our founding in 1979, the Toronto Korean Canadian Choir has been a welcoming home for those who love choral singing and wish to share in the richness of Korean-Canadian musical heritage. Our choir began with a handful of passionate voices and has since blossomed into a thriving ensemble, drawing members from all walks of life who are united by their love of music and community.
