Celebrating 46 Years of Harmony and Cultural Connection

About Toronto Korean-Canadian Choir

Founded over four decades ago, the Toronto Korean-Canadian Choir is a vibrant community dedicated to sharing the beauty of Korean-Canadian choral music. Our choir brings together voices of all ages and backgrounds, united by a shared love of music and a commitment to cultural harmony.

Our mission is to bridge communities through song, celebrating both Korean musical heritage and the diverse spirit of Toronto. We strive to create a welcoming environment where every member feels valued, inspired, and connected through music.

Guided by passionate leadership and experienced conductors, we nurture musical excellence and personal growth. Our choir family supports each other with empathy and care, making every rehearsal and performance a joyful, uplifting experience.

Through concerts, community events, and cultural collaborations, we proudly honour our 46-year legacy while inviting new voices to join us. Whether you are an experienced singer or simply love music, there’s a place for you in our choir.

The Toronto Korean-Canadian Choir is a registered charity and a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Jae Hoon Park in 1979 with the support of the Toronto Korean United Church. Dr. Park served as its Music Director until his retirement in 1999. Dr. Hoon-Mo Kim assumed the artistic directorship of the Choir in 2000. And Mr. Issac Seo assumed it’s role of the Choir in 2024.

Objectives of the Choir include:

To provide the community with opportunities to learn and appreciate high standards of choral music.

To challenge choristers to develop their musical abilities.

To provide the opportunity for community choristers to engage in an artistic dialogue with professional musicians.

To encourage, by example, others in the community to participate in artistic activities.

To learn and perform international and Canadian choir music, as well as Korean choir music.
